On October 29-30, Professor Chris Damaren, Director of the Institute for Aerospace Studies at the University of Toronto, Canada, paid a visit to the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Both parties engaged in in-depth discussions regarding joint doctoral programs, dual master's degree programs, seed funding, and the ICASSE2025 international conference. Professor Damaren also had cordial exchanges with faculty members and students.
On the morning of October 29, both parties held talks at the SAA. During the meeting, they first reviewed the fruitful outcomes achieved through their cooperation in joint doctoral programs, dual master's degree programs, and seed funding initiatives. They thoroughly exchanged views on several matters, including strengthening cooperation, renewing relevant agreements, expanding joint applications for seed funding, participating in the ICASSE2025 international conference, conducting online joint courses, and student exchange programs. Representatives from the Americas Office of the International Exchange and Cooperation Department and the International Office of the Graduate School attended the meeting.
On the afternoon of October 30, Professor Chris Damaren was invited to deliver a International Aerospace lecture at the SAA.
Professor Damaren's visit has injected new vitality and momentum into the cooperation between the two universities. Through in-depth discussions and communication, this visit will further promote university-level interactions and expand the scope and depth of long-term cooperation.
